Sunday service
Starting October 4, 2009 our main service time on Sundays will change to 10:30 AM and you can expect our service to last from 90 minutes to 2 hours in length. Babies and toddlers are dropped off before services. We open our services with Praise and Worship to set an atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to be welcome and enter into God's presence and gain a strong Word from him as directed by him in the Bible. We dismiss the children to there classes and then do our best to help people feel welcomed to the Oasis family. We believe the Word should be preached in simplicity and be relevant. We also believe that preaching should be accompanied with Bible understanding by the active listening of those attending. We all participate in honor God with our Giving. We always give the Holy Spirit His liberty to touch people lives with salvation, healing and other gifts in operation.
Monday prayer meeting
One of Pastor Calvin's life foundations is prayer. He is a man of prayer and believes that God's house should be "called a house of prayer." Over and over we shall see that prayer moves the heart and hand of God. We hold this service from 7:00 to 8:00 pm every Monday.
Wednesday Bible study
Wednesday is our mid-week service. We hold a full service on this day so that participants can receive the same experience that they can receive on a Sunday Morning. The Children have their own classes and the adults will have a teaching that they can immediately apply to their lives. Our service time for this service is 7:30.
The Bible/Worship
Bring your bible to church. We believe the Word of God to be the most important tool in every Christian life. We want you to get use to opening your bible. If you are purchasing a Bible purchase an Amplified or King James Version and you will be able to follow Pastor Calvin closely.
We love to Worship God in our services. We like it vibrant and lively. We like to dance, raise our hands and have a good time under the Lord. We also like to slow it down, where there is no one in the room but you and God. You sing and cry to the Lord and who cares who sees.
Vision
We are building a Victorious Church with Victorious Families. The Oasis endeavors to be a support to the families of our church and our community. God is the central focus in all we do "a family that grows in God is a strong family unit." Outside of our Lord and Savior Jesus there is nothing more important to us than the family.
