What is the church’s vision?

Our vision is to help people live victorious lives by developing a relationship with Jesus Christ, gain understanding of God's Word, and fellowship with God's people. The Oasis exists to strengthen the family unit, putting God first, showing active love and extending ministry to the surrounding community.

Do I have to be a member of the church to attend The Oasis?

No, you do not. You are welcome to attend as long as you’d like without formally becoming a member.

What does membership involve?

Those who choose to become members of The Oasis receive the benefit of being received into a true church family. They make a commitment to become a contributing part of The Oasis. Members make a covenant agreement to attend faithfully, give financially, protect the unity of the church, use their talents to serve at The Oasis, and share Jesus’ love with our community.

How often does The Oasis have communion? What does it mean?

On the night before He died, Jesus used bread and wine as symbols of His broken body and blood. He told His followers that they should continue to use these symbols to remember how He gave His life for them (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). Therefore, we regularly partake communion together about once a month.

What’s baptism all about?

As you read the bible, you’ll find that baptism was a practice of the church since its very beginning. People believed in Jesus, and then they were baptized as a sign of their faith in Him. Jesus Himself said that His followers should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Throughout the year, we provide an opportunity for people to be baptized as a public demonstration of their belief. This service is for people of all ages who have personally placed their faith in Christ.

Why does the Oasis use upbeat music to praise and worship God?

At Oasis we believe that the praise service should be a celebration of God and who He is. The bible encourages His people to dance, clap, sing, and use instrumentation in a spirit of thanksgiving and gratefulness. Acknowledgement and Praise is part of our lifestyle, our worship. In the time of adoration, we surrender everything--every care, every weight--and allow God to minister to us and envelop us in His love, mercy, and grace. During this quiet time, God will use Pastor to share words of encouragement and pray for healing and deliverance. The Word of God supports many expressions of praise in our worship, and so we can't get caught up in any one style.

Who makes decisions at the Oasis?

The Church is governed by a board of directors under the leadership of the Senior Pastor. Members do not vote at the Oasis, but there is wisdom in the multitude of counsel.
